A relaxed New Zealand wedding table set in natural light

It started with our own wedding

Planning our wedding should have been a happy time, and mostly it was. But the admin around it sprawled across spreadsheets, email threads, bookmarks and a dozen open tabs. The day we were looking forward to kept getting buried under the logistics of getting there.

We build software for a living, so we’re used to keeping big projects organised — one place for everything, clear owners, and gentle reminders instead of last-minute panic. So we planned our wedding the way we knew how: a heavily customised set of Notion pages, with task boards, tables and the lot. And it worked. The stress lifted, and we got to enjoy the lead-up instead of fighting it.

Afterwards we realised the honest truth: the boards and tables weren’t the point — the calm they created was. And no one should have to build all that themselves just to feel it. So we took what we’d learnt and folded it into one quiet place, made for couples planning a wedding, not for people who’d happily build a task board for one. That’s wed.kiwi.

The honest part

Why it’s free

We get asked this a lot, so here’s the straight answer — no asterisks.

Free today

The basics cost us very little to host, so we don’t charge for them. No trial, no card, no countdown.

Free forever

What you get for free today will stay free. The plan you start with won’t quietly disappear behind a paywall.

More, in time

Later we’ll explore gentle planning-assistance features. If we ever charge, it’ll only be for those extras — never the essentials.

“Free today, free forever for the basics — which, honestly, is probably all most couples will ever need.”

A PROMISE FROM THE TWO OF US
