It started with our own wedding
Planning our wedding should have been a happy time, and mostly it was. But the admin around it sprawled across spreadsheets, email threads, bookmarks and a dozen open tabs. The day we were looking forward to kept getting buried under the logistics of getting there.
We build software for a living, so we’re used to keeping big projects organised — one place for everything, clear owners, and gentle reminders instead of last-minute panic. So we planned our wedding the way we knew how: a heavily customised set of Notion pages, with task boards, tables and the lot. And it worked. The stress lifted, and we got to enjoy the lead-up instead of fighting it.
Afterwards we realised the honest truth: the boards and tables weren’t the point — the calm they created was. And no one should have to build all that themselves just to feel it. So we took what we’d learnt and folded it into one quiet place, made for couples planning a wedding, not for people who’d happily build a task board for one. That’s wed.kiwi.
